For Palliative Carers

At Fourfold, we see the carer as clearly as we see the person they are caring for.
Care for the carers

It's not just palliative care it's whole family care

The carer’s load cannot be truly understood unless you have been in it. Heavy, anxious, and exhausting. The carer is managing their own life while carrying another’s entirely.

At Fourfold, we see the carer as clearly as we see the person they are caring for. Our support is designed to sustain families through what is often a marathon, not a sprint.

We extend your care hours so you can rest, knowing your loved one is with a highly skilled nurse. We help with decisions as the journey shifts. We show up consistently, so you never feel alone in this.

Home is where most families want to be. But if things change and a hospital admission becomes the right decision, Lauren walks with you through that too. There is no judgement, only support.

I know that when we support carers, it benefits everyone: the loved one, the carer, the medical system, and the emotional outcome of knowing you did everything you could.

70%

of Australians want to die at home — surrounded by the people and things they love.

only 14–22%

actually do. Fourfold exists to make this happen — one family at a time.

What families say

In their own words

Lauren Hall was my anchor during one of the most challenging periods of my life, when my partner died suddenly. She gracefully navigated and supported me through deeply confronting situations, including visiting my partner’s body at the coroner’s office and helping to arrange for family members to see him. She encouraged me to take my time making decisions while I was in the initial period of grief. I couldn’t recommend Lauren highly enough.

Lauren was present for Mum and I throughout the last three days of her life and the difference it made to have her with us was profound. Her thoughtful, measured, gentle and loving attention coupled with her experience in palliative care left us in no doubt that we were in very good hands. She was able to provide sound advice to support difficult decisions and exemplary care to Mum based on her years of experience in nursing to make Mum more comfortable both physically and emotionally. Her work with Mum was imbued with deep love and generosity of spirit which enabled her to walk the walk with Mum until the end, and it is for that that I am eternally grateful. I cannot recommend Lauren highly enough and know that my mother’s experience of crossing the threshold would have been very different had she not been with us.
