Questions families often ask
Do I need a referral from my GP to arrange care?
No, you don’t need a referral to engage Fourfold. Families and individuals can reach out to us directly to arrange care. That said, we’re always happy to liaise with your GP, specialist, or existing care team to ensure your care is well coordinated.
How quickly can Lauren start once we make contact?
What areas do you travel to?
Lauren currently provides care across the Mornington Peninsula, Bayside and Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs. If you’re unsure whether your location is covered, feel free to reach out and check.
What exactly is anthroposophical nursing?
Anthroposophical nursing is a complementary therapy that works alongside traditional nursing services.
Anthroposophical nursing is a holistic approach to care that looks after the whole person – body, mind, and spirit, not just the physical symptoms. It draws on conventional nursing knowledge alongside gentle, complementary therapies such as rhythmical touch treatments, warm compresses, and natural remedies, all aimed at supporting comfort, calm, and dignity.
For palliative care, this means care that’s not only clinically skilled but also deeply personal helping to ease pain and anxiety, support restful sleep, and create a sense of peace for both the person receiving care and their family.
Can you help if we decide a hospital admission is right?
Can Fourfold be funded through a Home Care Package or CHSP?
We are available privately right now. While our own provider registration is underway, families with an existing Support at Home, CHSP, or DVA-funded package can still access Fourfold care — we partner with registered home care providers who can allocate your package funds toward our nursing services.
