Our Palliative Care Philosophy

Anthroposophical nursing is the lens through which Lauren approaches every assessment, every touch and every conversation.
Our philosophy

Honouring the whole human being

There is a particular quality of care that happens when a nurse sees you as a whole human being, not a set of symptoms to be managed. That is what anthroposophical nursing offers. It is the lens through which Lauren approaches every assessment, every touch and every conversation, and it is what she brings to every family she works with.
Physical body

What sets us apart

Three things that are genuinely rare

After 25 years at the bedside, Lauren knew what exceptional end-of-life care looked like. Fourfold is what it looks like in practice.

01

One nurse. One standard — Lauren's

Fourfold is built on personal care. Lauren sees every client herself, so the care you receive always reflects the same values, the same philosophy and the same commitment to you.

02

25 years of clinical mastery

From an acute palliative ward at a major Melbourne hospital to co-managing a community hospice in country Victoria. Lauren’s clinical depth is hard-won and extraordinarily rare in a private in-home setting.
03

Anthroposophical nursing: rare and remarkable

Lauren holds formal training as an Anthroposophical Nurse through Taruna College, New Zealand. This whole-person philosophy is offered by only 6 nurses in Victoria and cannot be replicated by large providers.

What sets us apart

What is Anthroposophical Nursing?

Anthroposophical nursing is a holistic nursing approach rooted in anthroposophy — the philosophy founded by Rudolf Steiner in the early 20th century. It’s practiced alongside conventional nursing and is used in various forms in Europe, especially Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, as well as in some palliative and integrative care settings around the world. In the Southern Hemisphere, Taruna College in New Zealand is recognised as the leading centre for this training. To learn more, visitwww.taruna.ac.nz.
